As part of the SoutHeritage mission focused on revitalizing the historical and architectural heritage of the territory, which becomes a point of inspiration for contemporary artists called to conceived a projects in various contexts and venues, the foundation was invited to join the cultural program of “Matera-Basilicata 2019 European Capitals of Culture” for develop one of the central macro-themes of the Matera’s candidature to European capital of culture: the excavated and hypogean architecture, the visual and spatial element which brought the city of Matera to be included in the list of UNESCO world heritage. In this context a series of propedeutic workshop and research focused on the responsibility of aesthetic, art and architecture research in the process of actualization, valorization, and patrimonialization of (geo)cultural heritage, have been implemented with the contribution by:
